ABOUT CLASH OF THE CRAFTERS

The HGTV digital team sought a fun, revamped crafting series for Facebook and Youtube audiences, and PopFizz was there to answer the call.

Featuring two contestants and a guest judge per episode, plus host Jason Pickens, each pair of contestants must tackle a craft far outside of their limited DIY skills. Jason and a craft-master guest judge decide which contestant made the best efforts for the most impressive final outcome, and the winner is awarded the Golden Glue Gun (of glory) trophy.

Crafts range from papier-mâché flowers, a cupcake beach-themed pull-apart cake, melted crayon art, and foiled Easter eggs, and includes surprise challenges dealt from advantage cards. Shot on 6 cameras within one small studio, the craft projects weren’t the only creativity needed.

We filmed these episodes in a live format, following script blocks and adhering to time limits, all while operating from several angles of filming.
