ABOUT

Our PopFizz family, along with all other members of our community, were beside ourselves with the halt of normal life and work schedules during the first weeks of quarantine in the COVID-19 pandemic. We reached out to local groups and other companies experiencing shutdowns, to ask how they were coping, and how to give back to the community during hard times.

Dogwood Arts is a vital organization and annual festival that celebrates and promotes the vibrant arts community in Knoxville and surrounding cities, typically taking place in the spring--which in 2020, was right in the middle of the pandemic. With unfortunate cancellation, many local artists took to their neighborhood sidewalks and driveways to create beautiful works of chalk art--both to brighten up the community with spring colors, and contribute their art to the city in a safe way.

We loved hearing about these artists from the Dogwood Arts team, and wanted to help them further promote the artists to everyone quarantined at home. Thus, we made this short series of artist spotlights, including shots of their artwork."
